Solar Energy Systems

Everyone can enjoy the benefits of using a renewable energy, helping the environment and putting money in your pocket. Any household today can generate the majority of the energy it needs using modern, maintenance-free and well engineered solar energy.

The principle behind solar energy systems is simple. The solar collectors or panels are designed to absorb as much of the sun’s heat as possible. They contain an antifreeze solution which when hot travels to a coil in your hot water cylinder and transfers the heat to the water. The tank water is then used as hot water for direct household use (showering, bathing, and so on).

Ideally, solar panels should be south-facing but south-east or south-west will also operate efficiently. Solar water Heating panels are placed on the roof at an angle of between 20 and 50 degrees.

Solar Water Heating Panels should provide most of the hot water needs of an average household for the sunniest four or five months of the year and contribute to the heating throughout the rest of the year. Overall it will provide up to 60% of your domestic hot water requirements.
